Multicultural
Youth Empowerment Program
The Multicultural
Youth Empowerment Prevention Program targets youth and assists them with
healthy development, school achievement, and gang prevention. The program
serves both male and female youth that are between the ages 12 and 17
years old. Primary services include tutoring, conflict resolution, and
leadership building.
This project is designed to prevent alcohol, tobacco and drug usage among
youth while empowering them to take responsibility for their lives. The
Program also teaches community organization skills to youth.

Drug
Prevention & Education Services
PCS Castle provides primary prevention and education services encompassing
a broad range of affective and cognitive strategies designed to reduce
the probability of drug use or abuse prior to its occurrence.
Drug prevention and
education seminars and workshops are conducted with local schools in order
to educate and inform youth of the causes and effects of drug use and
to assist them in self-esteem building, values clarification, decision
making, problem solving and other appropriate aspects of a young person's
life.

Neighborhood
Action Program For Youth Offenders
This program
provides a system of family focused services to juveniles involved
in the criminal justice system. Our intent is to strengthen the family
unit and enhance the level of functioning and cohesion of all family members.
In addition, the program serves to prevent youth from further involvement
in the criminal justice/legal system.
Further significant
goals include improving grades and school attendance and enhancing the
youth's self-esteem by promoting their involvement in the family, community,
treatment, and recreational activities.
The responsibility
for establishing a well-functioning family lies with all members of the
family unit and is based upon a program of self-disclosure, self-examination,
sharing, trust, openness, commitment, and a willingness to participate.
Qualified staff guides the youth and their families through this process
utilizing the following services:
- Individual/Family/Group
Psychotherapy and Counseling
- Mentoring/Tutoring/Adult Role Models
- Intensive Case Management Services
- Anger Management Skills/Conflict Resolution
- Positive Parenting Training
- Transportation Assistance
- Legal/Medical/Mental Health Assistance and Referrals
